Description: Cal Ripken Jr autographed baseball attributed to record setting streak game #2,131 (with game umpire provenance) (EX) Rawlings G.Budig Official American League "Ripken 2130 2131" logo baseball displays usage wear throughout with expected soiling. It has been signed on the sweetspot "Cal Ripken Jr" in ink rating 7/8-8 out of 10 and on additional panels by Umpires Dan Morrison, Larry Barnett, Greg Kosc, and Al Clark. Each has inscribed their number and in some cases noted the A.L./American League. All but Clark rate similarly to Ripken; Clark has largely faded from view. The ball was purchased by our consignor directly from the November 5, 1998 Oregon Trail Sports Auction, then a division of Robert Edward Auctions, and at the time had a letter of provenance from Dan Morrison. While that original letter has been misplaced the ball will include a copy of the auction catalog (ball shown is clearly the same although the Clark signature has since faded) and the original auction invoice: EX ($1,500-$2,500)Final Bid: $1,040.00
