Description: Exceedingly rare 1939 American Card Catalog original edition by Jefferson Burdick - bound with 1939-44 (30) issue run of his "Card Collector's Bulletin" and later 1946 edition of the ACC (Overall EX) Important historical record as relates to baseball card collecting and the formation of the organized hobby and categorization system that remains in use today. String bound between a pair of black 6.25"x9.5" covers, the offered volume contains an original 1939 edition of Jefferson Burdick's groundbreaking American Card Catalog (titled "United States Card Collectors Catalog"). Also housed within, and behind an "United States Card Collectors Bulletin" title page, are (30) successive issues of Burdick's "Card Collector's Bulletin" beginging with 1939 number (1) and ending with 1944 number (30). The volume also contains a 1946 edition of American Card Catalog. All of the material was issued with holes at left edge for the purpose of binding and their storage between boards have rendered these copies rather well preserved overall. There is some general light to mild scattered corner and edge wear and a few pages (including - but not limited to - a few pages in Bulletin issue #27 and the first inside page of the 1939 American Catalog) are loose. A number of pages throughout the Bulletin issues have handwritten marks/notations and a portion throughout the entire volume have some additional wear and/or light creases: Overall EX ($3,000-$5,000)Final Bid: $4,176.00
