Description: Lot of (75) vintage sports photographs, mainly basketball, c.1922-1981 (GD-NM). Includes (40) basketball photos, with remainder being various track and field images (including a nice original action shot of Jesse Owens at the A.A.U. Indoor Championships smashing the 60 meter sprint record). Most appear to be from the 1930s-50s. Subjects include Charlie Trippi (as a basketball player at Georgia), Cazzie Russell, Jesse Mortensen, Wally Cameron, Carl Shy, James Bausch, Mike O'Neill, Hank Moroski, Jack Molinas, Sterling Forbes, Jack Nichols, Henry Poppe, Bud Olsen, Bud Houser, Edwin Wide, Harry Chauca, Jimmy Carlton, Adrian Talley, Roy Cochran, Carl Merritt, Walt Davies, and others.
