Description: Large estate collection of (228) 1909-11 T206 baseball cards with (39) Hall of Famers incl. (2) each of Cobb, Young, Mathewson, and Johnson - all housed in album as assembled in the 1930s (see description) Fresh intact collection of T206 baseball cards as assembled long ago and glued into a child's school binder in the early 1930s. Although backs can not be reviewed what can be seen through the paper on which they are mounted indicates that all (or nearly all) have Sweet Caporal backs. Mounting aside, the card front present a range of condition levels with all having some varying degree of wear. The pages illustrated should give a general indication with the presumption that there will be some better and some worse. Notables (listed, with the exception of the first few names, in the order in which they appear in the book) Include (2) Ty Cobb (red and green background portraits - red portrait has attempted removal from page with resulting paper loss on back), (2) Cy Young (portrait and bare hand), (2) Christy Mathewson (portrait and white cap), (2) Walter Johnson (both portrait), (2) John McGraw (portrait no cap and finger in air), Rube Marquard (hands at side), (3) Fred Clarke (2 portrait, 1 batting), (3) Vic Willis (portrait, batting, and throwing), (2) Johnny Evers (Cubs on shirt and Chicago on shirt), (3) Joe Tinker (bat on shoulder, hands on knees, and portrait), Frank Chance (red portrait), (2) Mordecai Brown (Chicago and Cubs - Cubs is miscut with small amount of name from card printed above visible), Roger Bresnahan (portrait), Zach Wheat, Miller Huggins (hands at mouth), (2) Clark Griffith (portrait and batting), (2) Hal Chase (holding trophy and pink portrait), Eddie Collins, Ira Thomas (miscut with no name on bottom and his name from card printed above visible at top edge), (2) Chief Bender (portrait and trees showing), Addie Joss (portrait), (2) Nap Lajoie (with bat and throwing), Eddie Cicotte, (2) Rube Waddell (portrait and throwing), and Bobby Wallace.
