Description: Baseball team 1/6 plate tintype c.1880's. Stark image of an early uniformed team posed in an outdoor setting with early equipment visible. Measures 2 1/2"x3 1/2" in early tooled brass casing and housed in a period hinged Union case. Aside from the desirability of a baseball team related tintype the offered image was used in the Ken Burns documentary film "Baseball". The photo was featured in a full frame view during "Inning One" and this lot is accompanied by a copy of that videotape: EX-MT
