Description: Scarce Spalding "zebra" striped decorated baseball bat c.1890s. Substantive 33" long bat of the highest quality features a very seldom found "zebra" striped decorative pattern with (16) rings spanning front the handle area throughout the entire barrel. "A.G. Spalding Bros. stenciled logo stamping is found on the handle area towards the centerbrand portion of the bat along with model "No. XX" stenciling. The bat remains in fine original condition save for a section of chipping to the surface on the back of the bat barrel which could be easily and fully restored if so desired.
