Description: Babe Ruth autographed Christy Walsh Jr. presentational display c.1947. Large 17"x22" matted and framed display was presented to Christy Walsh Jr. on the occasion of his 21st birthday. The collage style arrangement features a selection of (24) original photographs chronicling the life of Christy Walsh Jr. inclusive of images of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Knute Rockne. The center of the display has hand drawn artwork by Robert Ripley who has also signed the piece. Additionally, several notable friends of the Walsh family have autographed the background area including actress Tessa Kosta, Eleanor Gehrig, and Babe Ruth. The Ruth signature measures at nearly 4" long and 1" tall rating 9/10 out of 10 displaying prominently at the bottom center area of the display.
