Description: 1934 U.S. All-Star team auto. Tour of Japan dinner menu (traced) from Lefty Gomez estate. Thick stock cardboard menu from a gala dinner dance given in honor of the American team at the Imperial Hotel. The menu was originally signed in pencil by nearly (50) members of the U.S. team, their spouses, and accompanying dignitaries including Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Connie Mack, Moe Berg, Jimmie Foxx, J.A. Hillerich, Earl Averill, Chas. Gehringer, and Lefty Gomez. At some point the signatures were traced over in vintage black fountain pen. Enhanced signatures present at 9-10 out of 10. Important artifact that passed through the hands of every significant participant of that historic 1934 Tour. Menu was purchased by our consignor along with a group of other items from the Lefty Gomez estate in the 1980's. Includes LOA from JSA: EX/MT-NM
