Description: 1911 and 1915 Polo Grounds photographs. Pair of 4"x5" sepia toned photographs includes an image of the partially demolished Polo Grounds in the midst of renovation in 1911. Pencil notations on back include "Re-Building the Polo Grounds" and "May 28, 1911". Second photograph shows interior view of the Polo Grounds with a game in progress from the vantage of the centerfield seats. Pencil notations on back include "Polo Grounds", "Giants vs. Pittsburgh Dooin at bat" and "July 24, 1915". Buildings in the background of both shots give great "before and after" perspective.
