Description: Babe Ruth photograph c.1917. Exceptional original black and white image picturing Babe Ruth warming up his arm on the field in a Boston Red Sox uniform c.1917. The blank backed photo measures 6 1/4"x9" with slightly irregularly cut edges, retaining excellent original contrast and clarity. A 2 1/4" section of the upper left corner is missing as are the tips of the other three corners. A couple of creases are evident including a 5" vertical crease in the upper left area crossing Ruth's extended arm. The back has pencil markings including the date "1917" and "Ruth P. Boston Red Sox" in addition to a stamped number "11" and grease pencil notations "Babe Ruth" and the number "27603". Superb early image of Ruth as he was poised to take the world by storm: VG-EX
