Description: Major League managers multi-signed baseball c.1940s. Toned Harridge AL ball features an intriguing assemblage of major League managers from the mid 1940’s. Many Hall of Famers who were actively managing at the time this ball was signed includes Mel Ott, Connie Mack, Joe Cronin, Joe McCarthy, Casey Stengel, Bill McKechnie, Frank Frisch, Bucky Harris and Leo Durocher. Other managers present include Billy Southworth Jimmie Dykes, Ossie Bluegie, Luke Sewell and Steve O’Neill. Additional signatures of Ted Williams and Johnny Pesky suggests that this assemblage or meeting of managers may haven taken place in Boston. Signatures range from 4-8 out of 10, averaging 6-7.
