Description: Whitey Ford September 2, 1955 One Hitter game used baseball. Toned Harridge AL ball (stampings are faded) used in Ford's one hit pitching gem against the Washington Senators. The side panel of the ball is dated twice "Sept. 2, 1955" in period blue ink and has a large "1" written in blue ink denoting the number of hits. The ball itself exhibits evident use and has a small mounting hole on the sweet spot from display. Includes letter of provenance from Whitey Ford.
