Description: Charlie Wagner 1986 Boston Red Sox home uniform. White knit jersey retains its original team name on front and #27 on the reverse. Wilson tag remains affixed to the tail front along with "86" chain stitched strip tag. Matching pants are also tagged by Wilson with "41 25 1/2 86" chain stitched strip tags. Red Sox hat has Devo mfg. label on the interior with "WAG" written in black marker under the brim. "Wag" is also written on the interior of the pants and jersey. Charlie Wagner served as Red Sox consultant and Minor League pitching instructor into the 1990s, entering his seventh decade of service to the team. Desirable uniform dating to the Red Sox AL Championship season. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions, Inc. and a letter of provenance from the Wagner family: EX
