Description: Rare 1916 Boston Red Sox large format team photograph by W.W.Somers. Sepia tone 11"x14" matted and framed image of the World Champion Red Sox in a matte finish. Players are posed in three rows including Lewis, Carrigan, Hooper, and a young Babe Ruth. Image quality remains very strong with excellent contrast. The photo has some chipping to the edges primarily at the bottom which is not visible under the matting. There are also two horizontal tears at the left and right edges that do run into the players. Marked and dated by photographer W.W. Somers at the lower right. Rare and desirable large format team image from Ruth's second World Championship team: VG-EX
