Description: Rare 1876 Chicago BBC figural oil lamp. Original cast metal lamp featuring a Chicago player in full bib front baseball uniform. The player is posed atop a black metal plinth with gilt decorated pedestal base. The lamp retains its original etched glass oil vessel. Condition is outstanding retaining the vast majority of its original gilt paint. 13" tall. One of the finest exemplars of this fine 19th century display piece that we have handled: EX/MT-NM
