Description: Rare Roberto Clemente 3,000th hit game ticket stub. Dated September 30, 1972 Pitt. Pirates ticket stub issued for the game in which Clemente collected his 3,000th, and final, base hit as a Major League player. In so doing, he became only the 11th player to accomplish that feat and the first Latin American to do so. The ticket is adhered to a period scrapbook page, which includes an image from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette picturing Clemente at bat during the game. The ticket itself has some typical handling wear incl. a few creases and could be removed from the scrapbook page if so desired: VG-EX
