Description: Marilyn Monroe cigarette lighter. Fine quality stainless steel cigarette lighter presented to Marilyn during the 1954 Oriental Tour. Inscribed "Marilyn Monroe" on the front above an embossed enamelwork logo from the presenting U.S. force division. The back is inscribed, "From the officers and airmen of the 21st T.C.S. (H) Tachikawa, Japan 16 February 1954". The lighter is marked by the Penguin Co. on the base and includes a portion of its original box.
