Description: Rare Mickey Owen professional model baseball bat c.1943-49. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 35 3/4" long and weighs 34.4oz. Bat exhibits evident usage incl. ball/cleat marks, rack marks, and barrel wear. H4 is stamped on knob end with an abrasion under the first name "Mickey" of the facsimile signature stamp. Owen is infamous for his 1941 passed ball on a strikeout of Yankees player Tom Henrich for what would have been the final out of World Series game #4. To date the offered example is the only documented Owen game bat to have surfaced and as such ranks among the most desired of all Dodgers player bats. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions, Inc: EX
