Description: May 15, 1922 typewritten letter written to Joe Jackson. Typewritten two page letter sent to Jackson by his attorney Ray Cannon regarding a trial against Charles Comiskey and the Chicago White Sox. The case centered around Jackson's contract and salary in the period after he was banned from baseball in 1920. Based on a 10 day reserve clause, Jackson and his wife had sent Comiskey a letter shortly after the 1919 World Series to tell him the details of the scandal. According to court transcripts Jackson was admonished "that he should have told someone", which, he had attempted to do.
