Description: Leo Durocher's 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers NL Championship ring. 14K white gold ring presented to Durocher for the Dodgers 1947 National League Championship. Ring features "Dodgers" team name in blue enamelwork on both side panels with "Brooklyn Baseball Club" lettering surrounding an inset diamond on a blue field at the top of the ring. "Leo Durocher 1947" inscribed on the interior ring band. The ring remains in outstanding original condition with intact enamelwork and minimal surface wear not often found on this particular style of ring. The 1947 Dodgers came ever so close to that elusive first World Championship during the historic 1947 season in which Jackie Robinson broke into the Major Leagues. Although the Dodgers gave a valiant effort the Yankees eventually took the 1947 World Series by a count of 4 games to 3. Significant Championship ring from a legendary Dodger HOF'er. Includes letter of provenance from the Durocher family: NM
