Description: Scarce Harry Hooper professional model baseball bat c. 1911-15. J.F. Hillerich & Son dash-dot-dash model bat measures 34 1/2" long and weighs 36.5oz. Vault marked number H41 is stamped on both knob and barrel ends with "Hooper" stamped on knob end as well. Bat retains a wonderful untouched surface with "HOOPER" stamped on barrel and factory side writing of "Old Harry Hooper" on back of the barrel. Usage wear is evident inclusive of small handle crack. Hooper along with Red Sox teammates Duffy Lewis and Tris Speaker formed one of the finest outfield trios in baseball history. Hooper gathered 2,466 hits in his (17) year career and during the time period in which this bat was made/used he participated in three World Series contests. The offered example is the finest known Hooper game used bat extant with unimproveable provenance from the H&B factory archives.
