Description: Babe Ruth professional model baseball bat with largest MLB allowed specifications. Vintage L.Slugger 125 model bat measures 42" long and weighs an unbelievable 58oz. The offered bat was at the time of its manufacture the maximum size allowed to be used in Major League play. Along with many other historic bats in the Louisville Slugger bat collection the bat was part of a travelling display and retains evidence of the period paper identification label that was once adhered to the barrel. There is no record of a bat of this size ever being used in Major League play. Includes letter of provenance from the Hillerich & Bradsby Co: EX
