Lot Number: 760

Description: Lot of two scorebook sheets for May 1, 1883 Phila. Quakers vs. Providence Grays game scored and signed by Harry Wright. Pair of double sided pre-printed scorebook pages from Harry Wright's personal scorebook. Includes pages for both teams which have been entirely scored by Harry Wright including the player names. In the left margin of the Phila. sheet is a notation by Wright, "First National League Game Played in Philadelphia." In addition Wright has signed his name in the "Scorer" box at the bottom of the Phila. sheet. Wright notes this at bottom of the page with notation and asterik. In addition Hoss Radbourne pitched and won the game for Providence. Both sheets are in fine overall condition with the May 2 game for Providence scored on the back of the Providence sheet. Historically significant scorebook with rare Harry Wright autograph.
