Description: Fine Warren Spahn professional model baseball glove c. 1957. Very high quality Rawlings HH "Heart of the Hide" LHT model baseball glove worn by Warren Spahn during the Braves Championship years. Glove remains in original condition with supple light brown leather and period lacings retaining its original black Rawlings tag on the backstrap which dates the glove to the 1957 era. Just above the thumb loop knot remains a faded black "21". Spahn has signed the glove on the interior pinky finger, "Warren Spahn 57 Cy" denoting his Cy Young award for the 1957 season. Spahn may have pitched for a small market team but his career numbers are on par with many of the greatest pitchers in baseball history earning 363 wins, 382 complete games, 63 shutouts, 5243 innings pitched, and 2583 strikeouts.
