Description: Rare large German bisque porcelain baseball outfielder figurine c.1880's. Exceedingly rare 17" tall hand painted figurine of a 19th century fielder with hand raised to field a ball. Craftsmanship is of the highest quality retaining its original surface and colorful paint. Stamped under the base "Geschuetzt Gesetzlioh DEP". Figurine remains in fine overall condition with some restoration to the top of the raised hand frequently seen on extremities found on the smaller size figurines of the same medium. Along with the following two lots the offered large size figurines are the first that we have handled and by far the most magnificent with regard to display qualities: EX-MT
