Description: 1920 Cleveland Indians World Champions team auto. baseball. In the 1920 World Series, the Indians defeated the Dodgers in seven games to win Cleveland's first World Championship. Team balls from that era are virtually impossible to find. The offered ball was signed at a team reunion on September 2, 1951, and holds 11 signatures, but they include just about all of the ones you would want: Tris Speaker, Stan Coveleski, Joe Sewell, Duster Mails, Larry Gardner, Charlie Jamieson, Steve O'Neill, Doc Johnston, and more. This team had six starting players who hit over .300, and five are on this ball! The only exception is Ray Chapman, who was tragically hit by a pitch and killed in mid-season on August 16, 1920. As an added bonus, it comes from the Earl Averill Estate and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity and provenance signed by Averill's son Earl. Mint dark blue fountain signatures (10 out of 10) on a near white mint Harridge Official American League baseball. Includes LOA from PSA/DNA J. Spence-S.Grad: NM
