Description: Rare 1969 O.J. Simpson College All-Star jersey. Blue Durene style jersey with orig. #32 on front and back. Retains orig. red stars on shoulders and Wilson tag on tail front with size 46. Jersey shows minimal usage wear as Simpson elected not to play in the game in fear of injury as he had not yet signed his pro contract and his insurance company would not underwrite his participation. Player attribution is based on provenance, lack of usage wear, and the fact that other players who wore #32 during that era are from 1967 (Ray MacDonald) and 1971 (Jack Tatum). Significant early Simpson jersey with interesting history was obtained from the equipment manager for the game, includes LOA from David Bushing/Dan Knoll and is signed on back by Simpson: EX-MT
