Description: Fine large format original photograph from the May 25, 1965 Muhammad Ali vs. Sonny Liston fight. Simply put the offered image is regarded as one of the most recognized sports images of the 20th century. After knocking out Sonny Liston in their first meeting in 1964 the stage was set for the rematch which took place in the small town of Lewistown, ME. Ali promptly disposed of Liston with a thunderous knockout in the first round producing the offered image. Photo is mounted on period board and measures 15"x19" matted and framed with some light surface crazing and a small area of red staining at bottom right: EX-EX/MT
