Description: Rare Steve Van Buren Phila. Eagles game worn jersey c.1946-52. Cream color Durene style long sleeve shirt with original #15 on front and back having two green stripes on sleeves. Retains Mitchell & Ness tag along with size/Durene tag on inside of crotch flap. Jersey remains in fine overall condition with a few small repaired holes and excellent usage /wash wear. Van Buren was the catalyst for the Phila. Eagles dominance in the late 1940's and early 1950's leading them to several Division titles and two World Championships. Elected into the HOF in 1965. Includes letter of provenance from family, vintage Van Buren auto. album page obtained by the consignor, and LOA from David Bushing/Dan Knoll: EX
