Description: Significant Fred Snodgrass auto. letter regarding the 1912 World Series "Muff". Two page typed letter is the most complete known account of Snodgrass' famous dropped fly ball. In the letter Snodgrass admits to dropping a fly ball but takes issue with the fact that he "lost the World Series". He writes, "I did drop that fly ball, a long way from 'losing a World Series'. However, the facts don't seem to matter." Signed in black ink "Fred C. Snodgrass". Insightful document with relation to one of the most infamous plays in baseball history.
