Description: Rare Homestead Grays game worn hat c.1940's. High quality black hat with applied white "G" on front in block lettering. Interior white leather headband retains orig. Wilson stamping and Buck Leonard has signed the underside of the bill. Hat shows nice game usage wear with only one tiny hole on top of bill. Hat also has a period ink "B" written inside on the top of the hat, unclear as to whether the hat was worn by Leonard himself or another player. Originated from the Barry Halper collection, one of the only identified Grays hats known to exist. Includes LOA from Global David Bushing/Dan Knoll/Mike Baker and (2) photos of Grays players incl.
