Description: Significant 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series ring. Easily among the most cherished and desirable of all World Series rings the offered example originates directly from the family of Dodger coach Jake Pitler. Ring is in wonderful original condition stamped 14 Karat Dieges & Clust inside band, side panels feature inlaid blue enamelwork with "Dodgers" and Jake Pitler" respectively. Top of ring has oval lettering, "Brooklyn World Champions encircling a round cut diamond inset on blue field. Other then some very light usage wear the ring remains in as issued condition with brilliant color and definition. The 1955 Championship was Brooklyn's first and long awaited remaining even today one of the most talked about in baseball history. The ring includes a letter of provenance from the Pitler family and it is the sincere hope of the family that it is treasured and enjoyed by the new owner: EX-MT
