Description: Mid 1980s Philadelphia 76ers "World Champs" banner from The Spectrum (with autographs). Panoramic cloth banner as hung in The Spectrum, the famed long time home of the Philadelphia 76ers, in honor of their 1982-83 NBA Championship season. It measures nearly (15) feet long and is (40) inches tall. The team, NBA, and Liberty Bell logos are hand painted on as is the "World Champs" text. It has been signed by approx. (15) members of the 76ers within the white (now cream colored) portion of the NBA logo including Billy Cunningham, Reggie Johnson, Maurice Cheeks, Mark McNamara, Clint Richardson, Bobby Jones, Leon Rautins, and others (likely signed in 1984-85 time frame). The signatures generally rate 6 to 7 out of 10 with a few better and some faded to less. Banner has toned with scattered wear including a few small tears and some of the damage has been stabilized from behind. A fantastic display piece related to one of the more popular Championship teams of the era which can be seen in the background of the photo shown handing in a fabled sporting venue.
