Description: Fine Ted Williams September 28, 1960 Final At Bat 521st Home Run large format photograph by Fred Kaplan. "Gods Do Not Answer Letters". Very rare oversized 13"x19" original image capturing Ted Williams peering up towards the stands at Fenway Park after launching a home run during his final MLB at bat. Clarity and appearance are particularly fine for action image of this size as well executed by noted photographed Fred Kaplan. Image itself is very clean with only minor surface wear remaining affixed to its original photo board mount stamped by Kaplan on the reverse. Mount has some minor surface flaking and age toning to its borders. Williams cemented his legacy with one final swing of the bat and was further immortalized by author John Updike's account of the day, "Hub Fans Bid Kid Adieu".
