Description: Folk art "RG Johnson" store display bat c.1930s-40s. Handmade oversized wooden bat served as a store display and has "RG Johnson Maine" block lettered on the side. The store opened in the early 1900s and still stands to this day. Eyelets on either end allowed for handing (one side with a small length of chain still attached) and the piece shows wear consistent with longterm outdoor use. Measures approx. 36" long and the barrel is around 16" in circumference at widest point: VG-EXEstimated Price Range: ($300-$500)
