Description: Outstanding Steve Carlton autographed professional model baseball glove c.1979-84. Top of the line Rawlings Fastback model "HT76" Heart of The Hide glove is well broken in and displays considerable usage wear. Player number "32" is written on the outside twice in vintage slightly faded marker. Four dots, which appear below the Edge-U-Cated Heel patent markings, suggest manufacture in either 1979 or 1984 (Rawlings utilized this date code in both of those years). Obtained by our consignor directly from Carlton and it has been in his possession since with the glove now being offered for the first publicly. Signed "Steve Carlton" in marker rating approx. 6/7 out of 10. The 1979-1984 time period represents one of the most productive of Carlton's (24) year Major League career. He made (4) consecutive All-Star appearances and earned Cy Young Awards in both 1980 and 1982. During those seasons he lead the National League in wins (24 and 23, respectively) and helped the Phillies claim a World Series title in 1980 and N.L. Pennant in 1983.
