Description: Richie Ashburn professional model baseball glove c.1946-52 (Francis 'Reds' Bagnell provenance). High quality MacGregor/Goldsmith model G116 Richie Ashburn fielder's glove showing excellent use throughout retaining its original manufacturer's label on backstrap. Ashburn became acquainted with University of Penn All-American Francis 'Reds" Bagnell and presented him with the glove around the time of his first few seasons with the Phillies. "Bagnell" written on side of pinky finger in period black marker as it was used by Bagnell while playing at Penn in addition to use by Ashburn prior to its gifting. The glove was retained within the Bagnell family until its current offering. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions, letter of provenance from Bagnell family along with Ashburn, and Ashburn signed poster personalized to member of the Bagnell family: EX"Estimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
