Description: Bill Russell University of San Francisco "Dons" NCAA Championships Commemorative Ring (1955 and 1956 NCAA Champions). Presentational ring given to Bill Russell in commemoration of the 1955 and 1956 NCAA Championship seasons with the University of San Francisco. Ring top features inset green stone with "National Champions" lettering encircling. The side panel displays "Russell" above basketball hoop graphic with "55 & 56" dates on pennant beneath. Other panel has "Dons" above NCAA and USF titling. Interior ring band is inscribed "Bill Russell" with Jostens manufacturer's hallmark and "10k". Ring size is with minimal light surface wear. The ring was presented at a later date to commemorate the iconic back to back NCAA championships during which period Bill Russell and the Dons won 54 consecutive games.
