Description: 1964 Bill Russell "Maurice Stokes Basketball Game" participants plaque. Wooden plaque (10.5"x12.5") bearing an image of the late Maurice Stokes has a metal plate affixed to the lower edge reading "6th Annual Maurice Stokes Basketball Game, Aug. 18, 1964, Kutsher's Country Club." The Stokes game was a long standing annual event which was initially organized by Jack Twyman to help raise funds to offset medical expenses after he became Stokes' legal guardian following a tragic career ending injury. Regularly attending were a number of the most prominent basketball stars of All-Time. Touch of light wear.
