Description: Babe Ruth and others autographed album pages - Impressive assortment of (57) total signatures with (33) different Hall of Famers. Pair of autograph album pages (approx. 4.5"x5.5") hosting a total of (57) signatures including (33) different Hall of Famers. A pair letters which were written to our consignor by the seller (likely in the late 1970s or early 80s) relay that the sheets originated from the first Old-Timers Day at Yankee Stadium in 1947 and he subsequently brought them to Cooperstown each year to keep adding notable player signatures. Together they represent an impressive collection with (57) total signatures with (45) being from Hall of Famers (33 different among them). The first sheet has (32) signatures on front and back including Babe Ruth (cut signature affixed to sheet), Frank Baker, Mel Ott, Harry Hooper, Stan Coveleski, Pie Traynor, Waite Hoyt, Sam Rice, Hank Aaron, Wally Pipp, Ford Frick, Roger Peckinpaugh, Joe Sewell, Bill Terry, Joe Cronin, Bob Feller, Lefty Grove, Lefty Gomez, Lloyd Waner, Dave Bancroft, Paul Waner, Carl Hubbell, Tom Zachary, Zach Wheat, Jesse Haines, Frank Frisch, Edd Rough, and Red Ruffing who is partially obscured. The second page bears a total of (25) signatures incl. Ted Williams, Sandy Koufax, Stan Musial, Charles Gehringer, Bob Feller, Lefty Grove, Dizzy Dean, Bill Terry, Edd Rough, Ford Frick, Rabbit Maranville, Red Ruffing, Pie Traynor, Frank Frisch, Chick Hafey, Joe Cronin, Waite Hoyt, and Rube Marquard. Signatures rate 7 to 9 out of 10 (one or two lesser) and there is a touch of light toning/wear to pages.
