Walnut wooden plaque as presented to Clemente in recognition of winning the 1961 National League Batting Championship. Inscribed with Clemente's name and engraved (in Spanish), "Champion Batter of National League 1961 In recognition by the people of Carolina for his outstanding performance". Brass placard exhibits some typical light surface scratching with the wooden plaque showing light to moderate patination. 15" long.
