Description: Outstanding Kansas City Monarchs vs. Harlem Stars Negro League advertising broadside c.1940s. Rare period original pictures the Legendary Satchel Paige and his Monarchs team, slated to face Goose Tatum and the Harlem Stars at Victory Field in Indianapolis. Tatum would later gain fame in his own right as a seminal member of the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team. Well preserved with mild to moderate toning throughout and wear essentially confined to the edges. Measures 15"x23.5" in frame.
