Description: 1926 Alabama Crimson Tide Rose Bowl photo album titled "The Will To Win". 9 1/2"x12" album commemorates Alabama's 20-19 victory over Washington in the 1926 Rose Bowl. Album features an embossed red leather cover with original string binding. Interior pages feature dozens of photos and text documenting the team's historic trip to Pasadena including many game action shots. The last page folds out to show a panoramic interior image of the Rose Bowl shot during the game. The 1926 Rose Bowl has been referred to as "The football game that changed the South". For the first 50 years of college football the game was dominated by powerhouses in the North, Midwest, and West. The 1926 Alabama team changed the notion that college football teams from the South could not compete at the highest level. The album shows moderate wear, mostly on the covers, and has a pencil notation on the interior title page: VG-EX
