Description: Extremely rare Milwaukee Braves Busch Beer advertising display c.1966. Exceedingly rare piece is believed to have been issued during or around the time of the Braves Inaugural season in Milwaukee. Done to promote radio and television broadcasts on WSB with "Brought to you by…Busch Beer" noted along the lower edge. The piece gives a 3-dimensional effect for the viewer with the player, stadium, and ball protruding from the background. Advertising pieces from this time period can be scarce by nature (most were intended for short term use and very often they were hung outside or in high traffic areas) and those with portions protruding from the background are even rarer still. The offered example is the only which we can recall handling and it is likely one of only a handful which survive. Presents beautifully in 29"x41" frame (piece measuring slightly smaller) with only a few notable condition issues including the upper left corner (which has a piece added in), upper right (which has a few nail/tack holes), and lower left (with a minor crease).
