Description:Mickey Mantle autographed 1969 Yankees Mickey Mantle Day letter (PSA/DNA Mint 9). Typed letter on New York Yankees stationary was sent by Vice President Bob Fischel in response to a fan who was imploring the team to schedule an honorary day for Mickey Mantle whom had retired following the 1968 season. The text within relays that the organization had long been planning to host such a gathering and that is was finally scheduled for June 8th of 1969. It further notes that it would be "a day to remember" with the festivities including the retiring of Mick's famed uniform number (7). Years later it was signed "Mickey Mantle" and dated "9/13/91" at lower right in ink with the autograph graded "Mint 9" by PSA.
