Description:Extremely rare Mickey Mantle "Big Yank" advertising piece c.1960s. Point of sale promotional piece done in the early 1960s when Mantle and fellow Yankees Roger Maris and Whitey Ford were pitchmen for a "Big Yank" line of men's clothing. Printed on glossy stock and die-cut in glove shape with a portrait of Mickey Mantle at the center, the piece folds over on itself (back which becomes the interior when folded is blank) to show the same design on either side. It was presumably meant to be positioned atop a rack of the brands' clothing in store. Displays at far greater level than technical grade which is due to some mostly minor wear with a pair of more pronounced creases to one side. Measures 10.75"x10.5" when folded for display. An exceptionally rare piece which was acquired by our consignor at great expense and the first example we can recall offering or seeing at auction: VG
