Description: Outstanding Joe Greene autographed Pittsburgh Steelers professional model cleats c.1970s.. Pair of black leather Adidas cleats (size 14) with white accent stripes each have a faint/faded "75" player number notation written in marker on the outer heel. Outstanding use is evident throughout along with some additional age/storage wear and the rubberized cleat covers on the undersides have all chipped away (with the mounts/nuts remaining in place). Each shoe is signed in silver marker rating 8-8/9 out of 10. Includes a 2017 dated handwritten letter which relays that they come from the Estate of a former Police Officer/Captain and were given to him by Greene in the 1970s. "Mean Joe" was a fierce competitor and terrified the opposition with an intimidating style of play that was known League wide. He ranks among the greatest defensive lineman in NFL history and helped power the "Steel Curtain" era Steelers to (4) Super Bowl Championships. A choice pair of game cleats related to one of the most imposing figures in the history of the game.
