Black wooden plaque as commissioned by Cepeda for display purposes as a replacement for his original award measuring 16" in diameter with octagonal placard affixed displaying a bust of Commissioner Landis positioned below the 2nd base position of a baseball diamond which is titled "Most Valuable Player National League" and notes "Orlando Cepeda" "St. Louis Cardinals" with "1967" below. Cepeda's standout season let the team to the World Series title, and his MVP selection was the 1st unanimous vote in the NL since 1936. General light surface wear including some nicks and scratches to wood, but retains strong eye appeal. Small hallmark stamping to the metal placard perimeter denoting as a second copy of the award.
