Sepia toned 6.5"x8.5" photograph showing uniformed members of the New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies marching onto field for the Opening Day game played at the Polo Grounds on April 20, 1916. Leading the charge for New York is Manager John McGraw with Christy Mathewson at this side. "International Film Service" stamp appears on the back. Light wear is largely confined to the corners and edges. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA with "Type I" designation. Includes Mathewson Collection certificate of provenance: VG-EX
