Lot Number: 385

Description: 1916 World Series program (likely Game 2 - Ruth 1st WS win). Braves Field program remains unscored other than the Hoblitzel's out and a single from Lewis in the 2nd inning for the Boston Red Sox, and "Johnson" written over Stengel's name as leadoff hitter for the Brooklyn Robins. Game 2 was the only game played in Boston in which Jimmy Johnston batted leadoff. It was also the most thrilling game of the series, with Babe Ruth pitching a 14-inning complete game for the 2-1 victory (his 1st World Series win as a pitcher). Light fold creases, and some minor staining: VG
